WoF #20/2006 Wakeboard World Championships 2006

One Cable Wakeboard World Championships 2006.
July 26th - 29th 2006, Feldkirchen (Austria). More than a thousand years ago, the first paper planes went airborne in China. Now, the super-light planes are the centre of a worldwide competition: The finals of the Red Bull Paper Wings - the first worldwide paper flight competition ever - take place at Hangar-7 in Salzburg, Austria.
The best students of 236 universities compete at professional contest conditions in the categories "largest distance", "longest airtime" and "aerobatics" and additionally trace the overall winner. The flight distance is measured with modern video technology and the airtime is determined by a digital timekeeping system. Competent judges crown the best aerobatic flight with the help of a cleverly thought-out ranking system.             To get higher and farther and to be more stylish than ever: these are the aims of the best wakeboarders in the world when they fight for the world championship. Never before, cable wakeboarding has been presented in such a big and professional sphere.
