Orage Freeski European Open 2006. March 22nd to 26th 2006, Laax (Switzerland). International ski slopestyle event, Laax (SUI). The Orage European Freeski Openis the biggest freestyle ski open in Europe, showcasing the raw talent of the world’s best amateur and pro skiers. 160 riders are competing in the half pipe and on the slopestyle courseand to gain the international acclaim that comes with winning this event. The new generation of freestyle skiers has become firmly established with the half-pipes and the slopestyle courses. With the European Freeski Open in Laax, this new kind of skiing presents itself with the biggest event in Europe so far. Every March, 30 of the world's best professionals from across the globe and up to 200 amateur skiers will come to Crap Sogn Gion Mountain to celebrate an extraordinary freestyle event.
Disciplines in halfpipe and slopestyle for men and women make this new annual flagship event a sports happening unlike anything Europe has ever seen. Not to forget to mention the $50,000 USD top prize money for the most stunning performances.
