Xtreme Verbier & Rookies Quest 2006. March 17th-19th 2006, Verbier (Switzerland). Most extreme ski and snowboard freeride contest of the world in Verbier, Switzerland. After its tenth birthday last year the legendary freeriding contest Xtreme Verbier accepts a new challenge: the quest for new talented riders. After introducing skiers in 2004, the Verbier Xtreme undergoes a radical revolution for its 2006 edition. Until last year, only invited riders were allowed to take part in the extreme contest at the 55-degree steep Bec des Rosses. This year, the open pre-qualification event "Rookies Quest" gave new top riders the possibility to qualify for the most renowned freeriding competition in the world.
