TTR WORLD SNOWBOARD TOUR 2011/2012

TTR Show #05 - Burton Canadian Open

Canada Olympic Park, Alberta, became world-famous when some key events of the 1988 Winter Olympics were held here. At the Canadian Open 2012, 200 riders from around the world will compete in the massive half-pipe and the excellent slopestyle course and fight for a US$ 72,000 cash purse. Canada Olympic Park`s 22-foot half-pipe is one of only three in Canada and was used as the model for the 2010 Olympic pipe at Cypress Mountain. For the Canadian Open 2012, it was extended and improved, just as the new and innovative slopestyle course. With more and bigger kickers, it allows the riders to execute even more spectacular tricks and huger jumps. The judges will use the Snowboard Live Scoring System (SLS) that was invented last season. It enables the riders, but also the spectators at place and the viewers at home, to transparently rate the runs.
