TTR 10/11 #08 - Air&Style Innsbruck (English)

TTR WORLD SNOWBOARD TOUR 2010/2011

TTR Show #08 - A&S INNSBRUCK

From 1994 to 1999, the Bergisel had already been the stage for this 6-star event of the TTR World Tour; these big air competitions back in the 90s were the birthplace of the cult surrounding the world`s most vital snowboard event until today. After stop-overs at Seefeld, Austria, and Munich, Germany, the Air & Style returned to the Bergisel for a quarter-pipe contest in 2008. Since 2009, the Innsbruck event is executed as a straight jump contest again. Spectacular performances made the competition high above the roofs of Innsbruck a huge success with 13,000 thrilled spectators attending. The ramp is 50 metres high and a true challenge for the riders. The in-run will be 70 metres long and 45 degrees steep. The riders will touch ground again after a 30-metre flight giving them enough time to execute an awesome trick. The best athlete will be rewarded with 1,000 points for the TTR World Tour ranking, the Ring of Glory and the biggest share of the 75,000 Euro prize-money.
