The Sand Series goes back to where it all began later this month in Saarlouis, where the Series first started in 2021. The growth of the event, and the Series, is reflected in a move from the town’s smaller ‘Klenier Markt’ to the main ‘Großer Markt’, bringing all Main Draw match courts to one site. Former world No. 1 Michele Cappelletti will pair with André Baran for the first time, with the Italian hoping to defend his title in Germany and pick up his second Sand Series crown of the year after winning the Réunion Classic in March. Meanwhile, reigning World Champions Rafaella Miiller and Patricia Diaz are closing in on becoming world No. 1s for the first time as a pair with six titles as a pair this year including two Sand Series wins at the Sand Series Gran Canaria Classic and Brasília Classic.
