Fuwairit Kite Beach Resort (FKB) is host to round one of the Qatar Aiways GKA Kite World Tour Freestyle division 2023 and it enjoys long kitesurfing seasons, running from November to July, with side-onshore wind speeds from 15-30 knots. Gianmaria Coccoluto form Italy and Brazil's Mikaili Sol kickoff the new season as the defending male and female Freestyle-Kite World Champions.
