On September 21st, some of world’s best long jumpers and pole vaulters will compete for important world ranking points on the world's largest World Athletics-certified mobile track and field facility, "The FlySwat", in a brandnew location in Geneva (SUI), directly at the lakeside and the city’s landmark, the Jet d’Eau, with its 140 m high water fountain.
In the field of world-class athletes, there will be a close fight between the long jumpers Filip Pravdica (CRO - Paris Olympian, No. 6 World Ranking 2024, PB: 8.35m), Chenoult Lionel Coetzee (NAM - 2nd place African Championships 2024, No. 13 World Ranking 2023, PB: 8.27m), and Anvar Anvarov (UZB - Paris Olympian, 4th place Asian Championships 2023, PB: 8.22m). In the women’s long jump category, Alina Rotaru-Kottmann (ROU - Paris Olympian, 3rd place World Champs 2023, PB: 6.96m), Eliane Martins (BRA - Paris Olympian, South American Champion 2023, PB: 6.75m), and special guest Fleur Jong from the Netherlands (current Paralympic world record holder (T64), Paralympic Champion 2023 & 2024, PB: 6.74m) will be competing. The women’s pole vault will be a close contest between Holly Bradshaw (GBR - Paris Olympian, Bronze medal Olympic Games 2020, PB: 4.90m) and Angelica Moser (SUI – 4th place Olympic Games Paris, No. 2 World Ranking 2024, PB: 4.88m). Finally, the men's pole vault will feature two Americans, both with personal bests of 5.90m: Austin Miller (No. 8 World Ranking 2024) and Matt Ludwig (Winner Pan-American Games 2023). Could Swiss athlete Felix Eichenberger (2nd place National Championships 2024) have a say in the fight for the podium? The winners will be crowned on the evening of Saturday, 21st of September!
