The Qatar Airways GKA Big Air Kite World Championships are set to take place in Tarifa, Spain. With a weather window of three weeks, allowing the event directors to carefully select the strongest Levante winds, which can reach speeds up to 50 knots. This window ensures the ultimate showcase of breathtaking Big Air action. Featuring a spectacular lineup including the disciplines Twin-Tip, Surfboard, and Hydrofoil. There are 63 athletes competing from over 14 nations ready to fight for the title to become the Big Air Kite World Champion. Among them, big names like: Mikaili Sol (USA) Twin-Tip title holder and first round winner at the Lords of Tram GKA Big Air Kite World Cup (FRA). Liam Whaley (ESP) a former freestyle world champion, is the top seed in the Twin-Tip class. Andrea Principi (ITA) won the Twin-Tip world title at the maiden Qatar Airways GKA Big Air Kite World Championships in Tarifa last year. As well as the rising youngster from Germany Finn Flügel.
