Curling Mixed Double Finals

New Zealand, Aug 30th, 2017

The ancient Scots game of curling dates back to when games were played on frozen lochs and marshes. At Winter Games NZ, the curling will take place at the Southern Hemisphere’s premiere indoor curling centre in Naseby from September 26th to 30th. 2014 Olympic champions and 2017 world champions Canada 1, the 4th and 5th of the Sochi Games, China and Norway, as well as 2017 bronze medallist at the world championships, Switzerland, are among the 16 confirmed teams.

The Winter Games New Zealand are one of the world’s top five winter sports competitions and the only one in the southern hemisphere. They are also New Zealand’s largest recurring sports event. It’s a uniquely Kiwi experience that athletes, coaches, judges and spectators all rave about. The relaxed atmosphere, friendly people, sporting action and festival fun with live acts and DJs – host towns Queenstown and Wanaka look forward to the biggest party on southern snow!
