Snowboarding: world record attempt at the Midtstuen

The Arctic Challenge 2007

February 26th to March 03rd 2007, Oslo (Norway)

The Arctic Challenge is a superlative event: At the northernmost competition of the Ticket To Ride World Snowboard Tour (TTR), the world's best quarter-pipe specialists present the highest and most spectacular jumps of the whole series. At the 2001 event, Finnish snowboarder Heikki Sorsa showed a 9.3-metre jump: a world record until today. With a new quarter-pipe construction for 2007, the organizers around Norway's snowboarding legend Terje Haakonsen try to crack the ten-metre mark.
