2023 World Rowing Championships

The strongest field since the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games will come together in Belgrade, Serbia next week for the 2023 World Rowing Championships, with qualification spots for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games on the line. To be held from 3 to 10 September, the 2023 World Rowing Championships has attracted nearly 1000 athletes from 74 delegations. The senior World Rowing Championships are held every year at the end of the international rowing season and World Champions are crowned in 14 Olympic boat classes – seven for men and seven for women, as well as six International boat classes for lightweight rowers. Para-rowers compete in nine boat classes, five are Paralympic boat classes.
The following rights restrictions apply:
a.) Rowing Rights holders (= garantours): No restrictions in terms of time and length of news broadcasts
b.) All other channels:
- Full news embargo for Germany in place - except for ARD / ZDF and its affiliates (and select regional channels)
