The GWA Wingfoil World Cup 2023 takes place at the renowned Saquarema break, just east of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As part of a double-header with the GKA Kite-Surf World Cup, the event showcases the second event in the brand-new Wave discipline, continuing to highlight the variety of this beautiful sport. The competition at Saquarema's Itauna beach, known for its left-hand beach break with hollow sections, attracts twenty-five of the world's best wingfoil wave riders, taking palce over a 12-day competition window to ensure the best possible conditions.The winners from the first event in Sal, Cape Verde, local hero Wesley Brito and American Moona Whyte will look to repeat their success in Brazil.
