Rowing: Europe's elite gathers in Andalusia

After the successful World Cup kick-off in Sydney (AUS), the next highlight in the 2013 rowing season is coming up. From May 31st  to June 2nd , 2013, Europe's rowing elite will get together at the FISA European Rowing Championships 2013 in Seville, Spain. Rowers from more than 30 nations will meet at the High Specialized Performance Center for Rowing and Canoeing La Cartuja and fight for the coveted title of the European Champion in their respective discipline.

Seville and especially Andalusia look back on a long rowing history. Many of the leading Spanish rowing clubs hail from this region. The High Specialized Performance Center for Rowing and Canoeing La Cartuja opened in 1989 and has been the reliable venue for a lot of regional, national and international competitions since.
