Since the first wave was ridden surfers have shared stories and experiences to try and explain the magic inside the waves they ride… The Barrel is a film tribute to these moments inside hollow waves.

This program explores barrels, the surfers who ride them and takes a journey to some iconic barrel destinations – Hawaii’s Pipeline, Indonesia and Kirra on the Gold Coast of Australia.  Featuring Gary “Kong” Elkerton, Mick Fanning and Joel Parkinson.

In the second part of the program continue on a surf safari down to Mexico and on to Tahiti, home of the famous Teahupo’o barrel.
