Biggest Peak Project in History - Part 5

Cerro Standhardt

Accompanied by Ralf Weber and photographer Thomas Senf, on August 1, the Mammut Proteam athlete Stephan Siegrist completed a winter ascent of Cerro Standhardt in Patagonia. Siegrist is now the first alpinist to have climbed all three summits in the Cerro Torre group in the Patagonian winter.

Ataraxia

For almost three months, the four team members pursued their goal of traveling across Alaska using only muscle strength and wind power - using kites on the snow, speed-flyers, paragliders and skis. Their aim was to be the first people ever to reach the summit of Mount Marcus Baker at 4,016 meters using kites. The team recorded lots of video and photo footage to document the project.

Trango Tower

On July 30, at 4 pm local time, the Mammut pro athlete David Lama, Peter Ortner and photographer Corey Rich stood together on the summit of the 6,251 meter "Nameless Tower" in Pakistan, also known as Trango Tower. Starting from the sun terrace, it took them ten hours to complete the Eternal Flame route, long considered to be one of the toughest routes over 5,000 meters.
