The Christmas holidays start with a unique combination of fast skiing and hot rock guitars! On Tuesday, the 23rd of December 2011, the Alpine Rockfest 2011 will inspire the audience with this exciting mixture. 12 Olympic alpine skiing champions will compete at a Giant Slalom course at the Paganella ski resort near Andalo, Italy. The winner will be rewarded with a 60,000 Euro prize-money. The world elite of the international skiing circuit will be at the start. A lot of Olympic medallists and world champions are among the participants: the winner of the first Alpine Rockfest, Richard Cyprien (FRA), will try to defend his title against skiing's greatest, including Bode Miller (USA), Ted Ligety (USA), Aksel Lund Svidal (NOR), Jon Olsson (SWE), Christof Innerhofer (ITA), Davide Simoncelli (ITA), Giuliano Razzoli (ITA), Kjetil Jansrud (NOR), Marc Berthod (SUI), Philipp Schoerghofer (AUT), and Michael Janyk (CAN).
