The vibrant lifestyle of Engadin St. Moritz might be pervasive but make no mistake, situated at 1,800 meters above sea level, it also offers some of the best freeride faces in the world, as witnessed through the highly successful Freeride World Quailifier events over the last few years. On January 30 2011, for the first time a main event of the Freeride World Tour will be held at the dominating mountain of the region, the Corvatsch (3,033m). And it promises to be especially spectacular: in order to reach the start, the participants have to abseil down from the gondola to the slope at the famous "tower 8".
