Burton US Open 2007 Highlight

Snowboarding: a double final and a great anniversary

25th US Open 2007

March 12th - 18th 2007, Stratton Mountain/Vermont (USA)
When the US Open Snowboarding Championships took place for the first time in 1982, an upside down kitchen table was used as a starting gate. Riders were banned from almost all resorts and Shaun White wasn't even born yet. 25 years later, the US Open is the oldest existing snowboarding event - and still the most famous and most exciting. From March 12th to 18th 2007, 30,000 spectators will flock to Stratton Mountain, Vermont, to watch the best snowboarders in the world fighting for the US Open trophies at the slopestyle, super-pipe and quarter-pipe contests. Even more, the cups of the Ticket To Ride World Snowboard Tour
(TTR) and the Burton Global Open Series will be awarded in Stratton.
