Tortour 2014

Cycling: The biggest and toughest nonstop-ultra-bike-race

Tortour 2014

14th. - 17th. of August 2014, Schaffhausen (SUI)

TORTOUR is the first non-stop-bike-race in Switzerland lasting several days. The event combines the best ideas of all existing long distance races. TORTOUR is designed for professionals and amateurs, teams and solo bikers. The race is the ultimate challenge for racers and the supporting team. The race starts in Schaffhausen and goes over 1000 km (and about 13000 meters of altitude difference!) around Switzerland. The finish line is at Schaffhausen again. Solo Riders and Teams will need for the race between 32 and 48 hours.

For this year’s race, TORTOUR is particularly pleased about the participation of ex-professional Alex Zülle (SUI - 2nd overall Tour de France 1995) in the Sugoi – Gandola & Battaini team, track professional Franko Marvulli (SUI) in the Samsung 1 team, Triathlon Olympiachampion 2008 Jan Frodeno (GER) and Ski Downhill Worldchampion 1993 Urs Lehmann (SUI).
