FAI World Air Games 2015

The FAI World Air Games, conducted under the rules of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), is the premier international multi-discipline air sports event fielding the world’s top athletes. The 2015 edition of the FAI World Air Games has been awarded to the United Arab Emirates for the first time and will be held in Dubai from 1 to 12 December 2015, presenting an array of 11 sports and 24 disciplines.

World Air Games is the only world competition that brings together the various different air sports. The 4th edition of the event will include Powered and Glider Aerobatics, Aeromodelling, Amateur-Built and Experimental Aircraft, Ballooning, Gyrocopters, Hang Gliding, Helicopters, Microlights, Paramotors, Paragliding, and Parachuting. The logistics involved are impressive. Events will take place in several outdoor sites, namely at the Palm Jumeirah and Desert Campus dropzones of Skydive Dubai. There will also be an Indoor Radio Controlled Aerobatic Powered Model Aircraft competition due to be held in the Dubai Mall.
