Copa Kitley GKA Kite-Surf & Hydrofoil-Freestyle World Cup 2023 - Cauipe (BRA)

Cauipe (BRA), 14th - 17th November

It is time for the fifth and final stop of the Qatar Airways GKA Kite World Tour Kite-Surf discipline, which will take place in Cauipe (BRA) from November 14th to 17th. The venue offers small waves and constant winds outside the famous lagoon. The women's and men's world titles will now be decided in a head-to-head battle, as the top riders in the rankings are close together. There are 26 men and 12 women competing from 11 countries around the world, with American Moona Whyte leading the women's rankings. France's Capucine Delannoy, the reigning Qatar Airways GKA Kite-Surf World Champion, is in second place and Switzerland's Camille Losserand is in third. In the men's ranking, the Cape Verdeans Airton Cozzolino (ITA) and Matchu Lopes (ESP) are first and second with only a few points separating them. Brazilians Pedro Matos and Sebastian Ribeiro will be competing on home waters and will be looking to get in between the leaders.
At the same time, the Hydrofoil-Freestyle championship is taking place with the current World Champion, Charles Brodel from France, attempting to maintain his title against rivals like the local competitor Josue San, Hunter Becker from the USA, Finn Flügel from Germany, and Alex Soto from the Dominican Republic.
