The renowned 4* FWQ Big Mountain Hochfügen – a tour highlight of the Freeride World Qualifier Tour. The start of the popular FWQ stop in Hochfügen, Zillertal valley is set for Saturday 10 February 2017.
It is the daunting Hochfügen Ostwand with a gradient of over 40% that they need to overcome. The spectacular face provides the 70 competitors from all over the world with countless opportunities to show off perfect lines and impressive jumps. The entry level is a 4-star qualifier, so only the very best qualify for Hochfügen. Spectators can look forward to a vast array of tricks, innovative and creative styles and skills at the highest level. In Hochfügen, the athletes are competing for important Freeride World Tour points, the Big Mountain Hochfügen trophy and prize money. The winners (skiing and snowboarding) take home a cash prize of 10,000 euros.
