WoF #17/2006 Slopestyle 2006

Slopestyle 2006.
June 15th-18th 2005, Saalbach-Hinterglemm (Austria). Incredible jumps, amazing obstacles and an impressive alpine scenery: Since its first edition in 2004 the adidas Slopestyle has developed into one of the most important freeride contests in the world. Each year, the Austrian mountain village of Saalbach-Hinterglemm turns into the Mecca of the mountain bike freeriding elite for four days.
The forty best professional freeriders are pleased to come to this first-class event. The spectacular slopestyle course with its ten-metre drops, high wall-rides and massive obstacles like an old gondola or a dump truck attracts a world-class field of starters.
Slopestyle is today's hottest kind of contest in freeriding. The most important part of the word is "style": while downhill contests are all about time, in slopestyle contests the rider's style and thus his execution of tricks is crucial.
