Skiing: world champions meet amateurs to celebrate the end of the season

The Verbier High Five celebrates its tenth anniversary! This legendary skiing competition was created in 1999 to provide the public with a sporting and leisure life-style event that combines professional and recreational skiing. The 10th edition of the Verbier High Five will be held in Verbier, Switzerland, on the 4th of April, 2009. As usual, it will star some of the worlds top pro-skiers and snowboarders who will come to Verbier to celebrate the end of a long, hard season. Here, they can enjoy a combination of serious and light-hearted racing and partying with members of the public and the media. The reigning Super G world champion, Didier Cuche (SUI), the winner of the legendary Hahnenkamm downhill 2009, Didier Defago (SUI), and the double world champion at Val d`Isère, Lindsey Vonn (USA), have already confirmed their participation.
