May 12th 2007 Munich (Germany). Wakeboard: Europe’s most spectacular season opening. The best wakeboarders in the world gather in Munich, Germany on May 12th 2007 to kick-off the season within an extraordinary event: The Off-Axis 2007 is one of the biggest boat-wakeboard contests in Europe and an absolute summer highlight for the international wakeboarding community. 12 selected top riders will fight for the 20,000 US$ prize-purse on Munich’s famous Olympic course, which is perfectly visible for the audience.
Thousands of spectators follow the athletes demonstrating incredible jumps and artistic manoeuvres in up to four meters height. TTugged by a high-speed motor-boat, the “snowboarders of the summer” will show their breathtaking tricks doing jumps up to four metres above the water and using the stern wave of a 350 PS Mastercraft X-Series wakeboard boat as a launch pad. The Off Axis will also be accompanied by an exciting side programme with international live acts to enthuse the crowd.
