From 28 September to 5 October 2025, the world’s top kite foilers gathered at Poetto Beach in Quartu Sant’Elena, Sardinia, Italy, for the 2025 Formula Kite World Championships. Over the course of the week, athletes faced challenging and shifting conditions, with gusty Mistral winds, waves, and tactical starts testing their skills on hydro‑foils. The competition featured intense battles and dramatic race turnarounds, highlighting both speed and strategy. In the men’s event, Riccardo Pianosi of Italy claimed the world title after a fierce duel with Max Maeder of Singapore and other top contenders. On the women’s side, Jessie Kampman from the Netherlands emerged as world champion amid closely contested races, where skill, precision, and resilience determined the outcome.
