World's best freestyle kiteboarders head to Brazil for season finale

GKA Freestyle Kite World Cup Taiba 2025

November 12th - 15th, 2025, Taiba (BRA)

From November 12th to 15th, the world’s best freestyle kiteboarders will gather in Taíba, Brazil, for the thrilling final stop of the GKA Kite World Tour 2025. Taíba’s golden beaches and steady winds will once again set the stage for an action-packed showdown, as athletes battle for the coveted GKA Freestyle Kite World Championship titles. In the men’s division, the title race is completely open. The previous stop in Abu Dhabi couldn’t be completed due to a lack of wind, leaving all riders tied at 30 points. With everything to play for, last year’s top three enter as the main contenders: Maxime Chabloz (SUI), the GKA Freestyle Kite World Champion 2024 and favorite; Arthur Guillebert (FRA), last season’s runner-up; and Finn Flügel (GER), third overall in 2024. In the women’s division, four riders share the lead after the uncompleted Abu Dhabi event — Bruna Kajiya (BRA), Claudia León (ESP), Francesca Bagnoli (ITA), and Martyna Konkel (POL) — all awarded equal points as finalists. Local star and reigning GKA Freestyle Kite World Champion 2024 Bruna Kajiya will be eager to defend her crown on home waters and thrill the Brazilian crowd. With both world titles on the line, Taíba promises a spectacular season finale filled with passion, progression, and world-class freestyle action.
