October 25th - November 2nd, 2025, Abu Dhabi (UAE)
Abu Dhabi will host the GKA Kite World Tour for the first time, bringing back-to-back World Cups in Hydrofoil Big Air and Freestyle to Fahid Island, Abu Dhabi’s newest coastal wellness destination and the world’s first Fitwel-certified island, offering 11kms of coastline. From 25 to 30 October, the world’s top kiteboarders will take to Fahid Island’s pristine waters in a six-day spectacle of high-flying action, part of the Fahid Island Watersports Festival – a nine-day celebration that will also feature the season finale of the GWA Wingfoil World Tour and the championship deciders of the SFT Surf Foil World Tour. In Hydrofoil Big Air, the battle for the world title is a close-run thing. New Zealand’s Hugo Wigglesworth, 18, heads the rankings after he burst on to the scene and dominated the opening stop of the season in Sylt, Germany, in August. But Finn Flügel, of Germany, who sits second overall, vowed that he would be back in Abu Dhabi, gunning for the title in what are likely to be similar, lighter breezes of the Gulf.
The SFT Surf Foil World Tour will stage its SFT Wake Foil and E-Foil World Cups for the first time in the Middle East at the Fahid Island Watersports Festival. The SFT Wake Foil World Cup is a single decisive event to crown the first Wake Foil World Tour Champion. Athletes will perform behind the boat, judged on technique, style, and power.
