June 16th - 21st, 2026, Mykonos (GRE)

The 2026 GKA Big Air Kite World Champions will be crowned in Mykonos as the season’s second and final stop brings the title race to a dramatic conclusion. The famous Meltemi winds of the Aegean Sea are expected to provide ideal conditions for the sport’s most explosive discipline, with riders chasing maximum height, technical kite loops and crucial championship points. Jamie Overbeek (NED) arrives in Greece in control of the men’s title race after victory at the season opener in France. However, top-ranked Finn Flügel (GER), Andrea Principi (ITA), Leonardo Casati (ITA), Cohan van Dijk (NED) and Stino Mul (NED) are all within striking distance. Reigning World Champion Lorenzo Casati (ITA) faces a tough task to defend his crown after a disappointing ninth-place finish at the opening event. In the women’s division, Alessa Sophia Mensch (GER) heads to Mykonos as the rider to beat following her breakthrough win in France. Defending World Champion Mikaili Sol (BRA) remains a major contender, while Francesca Maini (GBR), Sarah Sadek (EGY), Alice Ruggiu (ITA), Lana Herman (SLO) and Nathalie Lambrecht (SWE) will all be looking to challenge for the podium. Another key storyline is the Big Air Kite debut of ten-time Freestyle World Champion Gisela Pullido (ESP), whose arrival adds further depth to a field packed with established stars and rising talent. With world titles on the line and strong Meltemi winds expected at Korfos Beach, Mykonos is set to provide a spectacular finish to the 2026 Big Air season.
