Elite riders shine at BOSCH eMTB Challenge
Verbier Bike Festival
August 14th - 17th, 2025, Verbier (SUI)
One of the weekend’s most anticipated highlights, the BOSCH eMTB Challenge brought nearly 100 riders to the start line — including 33 professionals such as world champions Nathalie Schneitter (SUI), Sofia Wiedenroth (GER) and Joris Ryf (SUI). Under clear Alpine skies, the day opened with a morning briefing, maps in hand, as riders were introduced to the three levels of racing — Amateur, Advanced, and Pro, each with men’s and women’s divisions.
The course covered 35 km with 970 m of climbing, mixing timed uphill and downhill stages without reconnaissance. It demanded skill, endurance and smart battery management. In the Pro Series, athletes raced five timed stages, with overall winners decided on combined results.
In the Pro Men’s race, Charles Murray (NZL) claimed victory ahead of Emanuel Pombo (POR) and Jérôme Gilloux (FRA), with Joris Ryf (SUI) finishing 5th. In the Pro Women’s race, Kathrin Stirnemann (SUI) took the win, followed by Sofia Wiedenroth (GER) in 2nd and Laura Charles (FRA) in 3rd, while Nathalie Schneitter (SUI) placed 4th. A lively podium ceremony closed the event, celebrating both Advanced and Pro categories and capping a day of world-class eMTB racing in Verbier.
