On June 7th, the Golden Roof Challenge will celebrate its 21st edition in the heart of Innsbruck, Austria. Twenty top international athletes in pole vault and long jump will compete on “The FlySwat” – the world’s largest WA-certified (World Athletics) mobile athletics facility– right in front of a close-up crowd to earn crucial world ranking points on the road to qualification for the World Championships in Tokyo.

The elite lineup features top international athletes, including American pole vaulters Zachery Bradford (No. 8 in the 2023 world rankings, personal best: 5.91m) and current world No. 4 Austin Miller, who also boasts a PB of 5.91m. In the women’s pole vault, Finland’s Elina Lampela (PB: 4.70m), who finished fourth at the 2025 European Indoor Championships, is one of the favorites. China’s Chunge Niu is aiming to surpass her personal best of 4.65m. In the men’s long jump, Emiliano Lasa from Uruguay (PB: 8.28m) and Namibia’s Chenoult Lionel Coetzee (PB: 8.27m) are expected to battle it out for the win. Dutch Paralympic champion and world record holder Joel De Jong (T63 category, PB: 7.68m) is also set to compete, looking to push the limits in the men’s long jump. On the women’s side, Brazil’s Leticia Oro Melo (PB: 6.84m) will go head-to-head with Estonia’s Liisa Maria Lusti (PB: 6.45m) in what promises to be a thrilling contest. The champions will be crowned on Saturday evening, June 7th!
