On June 13, the Golden Roof Challenge will take place for the 22nd time in the heart of Innsbruck, Austria. The world’s elite in pole vault and long jump will gather at the World Athletics-certified, largest mobile athletics facility in the world, “The FlySwat”, located in the middle of Innsbruck’s Old Town. The athletes are eager to collect important World Ranking points for upcoming international championships.
The world-class athlete lineup includes, among others, the U.S. pole vaulters Olean Tray Oates (current world ranking: 16th, personal best: 5.82 m) and Carson Cody Waters (personal best: 5.72 m). In the women’s competition, Brazil’s Juliana De Menis Campos (personal best: 4.76 m), 2026 Indoor World Championships finalist, is considered the favorite. Italy’s Elisa Molinarolo (personal best: 4.70 m), Olympic finalist at Paris 2024, and Finland’s Elina Lampela (personal best: 4.70 m), fourth place at the 2025 European Indoor Championships, will also be competing for victory. In the men’s long jump, Bulgaria’s Bozhidar Sarâboyukov (PB: 8.45 m), current world ranking number 2 and bronze medalist at the 2026 Indoor World Championships, as well as Cuba’s Maykel Massó (PB: 8.39 m), Olympic bronze medalist from Tokyo, will compete for victory. Dutch Paralympic champion and world record holder Joel De Jong (category T63, PB: 7.68 m) aims to set new record distances in the men’s long jump. Finally, Colombia’s Natalia Linares (PB: 6.95 m), bronze medalist at the 2026 Indoor World Championships, and Brazil’s Leticia Oro Melo (PB: 6.89 m), 2022 World Championships bronze medalist, will challenge each other in the women’s long jump. The winners will be decided on Saturday evening, June 13.
