The 2026 Fuerteventura Grand Slam (★★★★★) Slalom X was one of the flagship events of the 2026 Professional Windsurfers Association (PWA) World Tour. Held at Sotavento Beach on the island of Fuerteventura, Spain, it carried the highest five-star Grand Slam status, making it one of the most valuable competitions of the season in terms of prestige, ranking points, and prize money.

Slalom X is a modern, spectator-friendly racing format that builds on traditional windsurfing slalom by introducing technical features that make races more dynamic and unpredictable. Depending on the course design, competitors may encounter:

• Beach starts or beach finishes
• Floating obstacles that require jumps
• Chicanes and tighter turning sections
• Multiple gybes under close racing conditions

The format rewards not only straight-line speed but also board handling, jumping ability, tactical positioning, and rapid acceleration after manoeuvres.
