Rowing: Europe's elite gathers in Serbia

After the successful World Cup kick-off in Sydney (AUS), the next highlight in the 2014 rowing season is coming up. From May 30th to June 1st 2014, Europe's rowing elite will get together at the FISA European Rowing Championships 2014 in Belgrade, Serbia. Rowers from 36 nations will meet at the Ada Ciganlija Rowing Course on picturesque Sava Lake in Serbia’s capital and largest city, Belgrade, and fight for the coveted title of the European Champion in their respective discipline.

Ada Ciganlija Regatta course is situated on Sava Lake which is located in the heart of Belgrade, 5km from the city center. Ada Ciganlija is a river island, artificially turned into a peninsula. The lake is 3000m long and 250m wide. The course is situated in a southwest-northeast direction.
