Goodbye summer! The cold season returns with an outstanding top event. For the 28th time consecutively, legendary Kaunertal Opening heralds the freeskiers’ and snowboarders’ start of the season. From the 11th to the 13th of October 2013, thousands of young winter sports enthusiasts will gather to Kaunertal glacier, Tyrol, to celebrate the beginning winter with competitions, live acts, parties and a big supporting programme. Europe’s oldest glacier snowboard and freeski event is the obligatory date for the international slopestyle community to present the newest tricks after the long summer break. The Kaunertal Opening is an essential start of the the winter season, just like falling leaves indicate autumn and beach bars signal summer!
