FISA World Rowing Cup II 2014 - Aiguebelette (FRA)

FISA World Rowing Cup II 2014 - Aiguebelette (FRA) - June 20th - 22nd

The Rowing World Cup is an annual team competition, created in 1997, comprising three international regattas per year. A Rowing World Cup Champion is awarded in each boat class to the nation with the most points won in that boat class from the three regattas. Rowing World Cup regattas are held in the boat classes of the Olympic programme in effect at the time of the regattas. Each Rowing World Cup regatta also offers races in non-Olympic boat categories - these boat categories do not score points at Rowing World Cup regattas. In 2014, the Rowing World Cup series will take place in:

•         Sydney (AUS) from 28th - 30th March

•         Aiguebelette (FRA) from 20th - 22nd June and

•         Lucerne (SUI) from 11th -13th July 2014

The venue is one of France's most beautiful and picturesque lakes, Lac d'Aiguebelette. This was the venue of the 1997 World Rowing Championships and will be the venue for the 2015 World Rowing Championships which also acts as the qualification regatta for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
