The huge success of the snowboard competitions at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver 2010 has given snowboarding fresh impetus. At the Canadian Open 2011 from February 01st to 06th 2011, the freestyle snowboarders return to the country that, with its enthusiasm and dedication to the sport of snowboarding, made an important contribution to the record-breaking viewing figures of the Vancouver half-pipe competitions. In Canada Olympic Park, Alberta, famous from the 1988 Winter Olympics, riders from around the world compete in world-class half-pipe and slopestyle courses and fight for a US$ 50,000 cash purse.
