FAI World Air Games 2015

December 1 to 12, 2015, Dubai (UAE)

The FAI World Air Games, conducted under the rules of the Fédération

Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), is the premier international

multi-discipline air sports event fielding the world’s top athletes. The

2015 edition of the FAI World Air Games has been awarded to the United

Arab Emirates for the first time and will be held in Dubai from 1 to 12

December 2015, presenting an array of 11 sports and 24 disciplines.
More

than 1000 athletes, crews and officials were involved in the multi air

sports event. It was the biggest FAI World Air Games ever organised. The

event was held by World Air Sports Federation FAI, the world governing

body for air sports and for certifying world aviation and space records.

It was founded in 1905 and is a non-governmental and non-profit-making

organisation. The vision of the FAI is to combine the world’s best air

sports athletes in a major event to compete, promote their disciplines,

demonstrate their professionalism and inspire future generations. The

previous editions of the Games took place in Turkey (1997), Spain (2001)

and Italy (2009).
