Freestylers, slalom specialists and explorers, Olympic medal winners, world cup winners and kayakers of the „free“ scene: the 6th Sickline Extreme Kayak World Championship unites athletes of all kayaking disciplines. From October 03 to 05, 2013, the world’s leading white-water paddlers will gather at the legendary „Wellerbrücke“ course at Ötztal valley, Austria. At Tyrol’s longest Alpine valley and in front of a stunning backdrop of 250 three-thousanders, they will fight for the coveted 2013 world championship belt.

Presenting one of the most difficult white-water passages worldwide, “Ötztaler Ache” river offers the perfect conditions to crown the world’s best extreme kayaker. 100 participants from more than 24 nations will take part in the qualifications, 48 will qualify for the finals. Sam Sutton (NZL), Sickline World Champion in 2010, 2011 und 2012, is the man to beat. The second and third of 2012, Mike Dawson (NZL) and Dejan Kralj (SLO), are also seeded for the finals.
