Engadin Snow 2013 - Freeride World Premiere!

Since its premiere in 2002, each year the Engadinsnow attracts hundreds of freeskiers and snowboarders to the Engadine valley in Switzerland. For one weekend, all signs are directed to the freestyle and freeride disciplines.

At the 11th Engadinsnow, February 1st, 2013, Silvaplana in Switzerland´s Engadine valley presents a world premiere. For the first time ever, a parallel freeride competition for skiers and snowboarder will be held! This "head-to-head" format makes it possible to directly compare the performances of the participants, making freeriding more transparent for the spectators. Two freeriders storming down the infamous Corvatsch north face at the same time - that´s a firs!! At this parallel freeride competition conducted in a knockout format. The better rider advances to the next round. For this exciting world premiere in freeriding, the Corvatsch´s powder face will be additionally equipped with freestyle kickers - a thrilling playground for the contestants!

Another attraction of the 2013 Engadinsnow is the classic freeriding event at Corvatsch, which is also a Freeride World Tour Qualifier.
