Biggest Peak Project in History - Part 3

As part of Mammut`s 150th anniversary project, on 4 September 2011 the three Mammut Pro Team athletes David Lama, Stephan Siegrist and Denis Burdet set off for Delhi in India in an attempt to become the first climbers to completely scale the around 1,000 metre, breathtakingly beautiful north face of Cerro Kishtwar. Back in 1991, a British team narrowly failed to conquer this imposing wall in the Indian Kashmir Himalaya. The climbing team have allowed themselves a timeframe of six weeks to reach the peak located at 6,200 metres above sea level, on the border between Pakistan and China. The journey to the base camp at 3,500 metres alone takes two weeks. Over the course of the next four weeks, the Mammut team will be attempting to successfully complete this tour out of the 150 tours in the Mammut Peak Project.
