The Cold Water Classic events are 6star qualifying series with $15,000 dollars to the the winner of each event and $50,000 dollars for the overall winner of the series. The Cold Water Classic is the first series of its kind and is held in some of the more inhospitable and rugged surf locations the planet has to offer. The competitors are really up against the elements as they take on huge swells and freezing cold water for a shot at being crowned the first ever O'Neill Cold Water Classic champion.
