Sam Lamiroy (GBR), Surfing: a man exploring his boundaries

With his countless injuries, Sam Lamiroy is the nightmare of any health insurance company. Despite that, the striking character from Cornwall has become one of the most noticeable persons in the surfing scene. In 2006, the Brit surfed the "Cribbar Swell", a ten-metre wave hitting the Cornwall coastline only once or twice a year. "Most of the time in normal life, you don't face danger that often, so you don't know your limits and you don't know what you're capable of", Sam Lamiroy thinks. "At least with surfing you can explore your own boundaries."
