At this event, history was made: for the first time in the 60-year history of the resort, freeriders were officially allowed to ride Squaw Valley's mythic Tram Face. The Californian resort atop the Sierra Nevada was host the second event of the Freeride World Tour 2009: Tram Face 2009 was hold from February 27th to March 05th 2009. It took place at the legendary face that has always remained strictly off-limits and was opened only for a few days and only for the pro freeriders taking part in the event.
