Freeride World Tour: Russian Classic 2011

March 4th to 8th 2011, Krasnaya Polyana/Sochi (Russia)

The claim of the Freeride World Tour has never been more appropriate than this
season: "The best riders on the best mountains in the ultimate freeride
competition!" After the success of its three previous editions, the Freeride World
Tour 2011 has evolved from four to six events with the world´s best skiers and
snowboarders competing at some of the world´s most iconic mountain resorts.
After the huge success of the first three events at France, Siwtzerland and the
US, the freeriding elite now gathers to the Russian part of the Caucasus and
Olympic terrain: between the 4th and 8th of March 2011, the Russian Adventure
Sotschi 2011 will be held at Krasnaya Polyana which will also be the scene of
the Alpine and Nordic skiing competitions of the Olympic Winter Games in 2014.
Due to the collision of dates with Olympic organization work, the event will be
held in early March instead of January for the first time.
