Presenting a revamped schedule, the Freeride World Tour (FWT) is ready to drop into its 8th season. Season’s highlights include the new tour stops in Andorra and Alaska as well as the 20th anniversary of thegrand finale at the legendary Xtreme Verbier. For the first time in FWT history, both women and men will compete at all five tour stops. Plus, the contestants battle for the highest FWT prize-purse ever: US$ 400,000. The world’s premier freeride tour looks forward to another fantastic season!

FWT 2015 start lists include the leading athletes from the 2014 tour, the best riders of the 2014 Freeride World Qualifier, and some wild card entries. The line-up sports male skiers like reigning FWT champion Loïc Collomb-Patton (FRA), 2014 runner-up Sam Soothy (NZL), 2013 FWT champion Drew Tabke (USA), and 2012 FWT champion Reine Barkered (SWE), as well as female skiers like 2-time FWT champion Nadine Wallner (AUT), Pia-Nic Gundersen (NOR), Jackie Paaso (USA), and Matilda Rapaport (SWE). The male snowboarders’ field will see the likes of reigning FWT champion Emilien Badoux (SUI), 2014 runner-up Jamie Rizzuto (CAN), and 2013 FWT champion Ralph Back¬strom (USA). Reigning female snowboard champion Shannan Yates (USA) must fend off rising star Estelle Balet (SUI) and returning 2011 FWT champion, Anne-Flore Marxer (SUI/FRA).
