The most important women`s longboard competition of the year will take place on Hainan Island, which is widely praised as the "Hawaii of China" due to its endless white beaches and the lush tropical vegetation. As a popular destination for tourists from all over the world, it also symbolizes China`s opening up to the West. The impressive waves and unrivalled beaches make this location the perfect setting for the 2013 Longboard World Championship. Gracefulness and elegance, technique and style, as well as the talent to perfectly ride waves – these ingredients guarantee an exciting and extremely attractive contest!

The start list includes 36 participants from all over the world and boasts the elite of international female longboarding. Favourites are reigning World Champion Kelia Moniz (HAW), the winner of the 2011 Girls Pro China, Chelsea Williams (AUS), Swatch Proteam rider Kassia Meador (USA) two-time World Longboard Champion Jennifer Smith (USA), versatile surf talent Justine Dupont (FRA), and local hero Darciu Liu (CHN).
