Kayaking: adventures on the world's most remote white water rivers

Searching for the River God

Greenland - Sumatra - Chile - Pakistan - Siberia

Wild nature, rapid rivers and spectacular kayak rides: in fantastic pictures, the exceptional Searching for the River God documentary shows extreme kayaking on the most attractive and remote rivers in the world. For kayakers, a "River God" is a perfect white water river offering nice lines, challenging cataracts and deep waterfalls in an overwhelming landscape. An international team of the best extreme kayakers traced these river Gods worldwide and documented their white water rides in far-flung areas all over the globe with the camera. For this movie, 39-year-old kayak legend Olaf Obsommer (GER), kayak star Jared Meehan (NZL) and other world-class kayakers travelled to the chilly ice worlds of Greenland, the dense jungles of Sumatra and the secluded mountain ranges of Chile, Pakistan and Siberia to experience unforgettable kayak adventures.
