2016 Vertical Up Tour Finals

Streif, Hannes Trinkl World Cup Run, Pinzolo, and Lauberhorn – at the 2016 Vertical Up Tour, the participants ascend some of the most famous slopes of the Alpine Skiing World Cup instead of going downhill! The goal of the competitions is to race up as fast as possible. The extraordinary thing about it: there are nearly no rules! That means that athletes have free choice which equipment they want to use during the climb (as long as it doesn’t have an engine), and they have free choice of route on the original World Cup runs. Topping off the already successfully completed stages at Kitzbuehel, Hinterstoder, and Madonna di Campiglio, the thrilling finals of the series will take place at Wengen (SUI) on March 19, 2016.
